But if they do not obey, they will perish by the sword, and they will die without knowledge.


but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.


Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.


For now they will say, “We have no king, because we do not fear the Lord; and a king, what could he do for us?”


The Lord will bring you and your king, which you will set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you will serve other gods, wood and stone.


If you ever forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, then I testify against you today that you will surely perish.


If you break the covenant of the Lord your God that He commanded you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, the anger of the Lord will burn against you, and you will quickly perish from the good land that He gave you.”


If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, then He will turn, bring disaster upon you, and finish you off, after having been good to you.”
