However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.


Servants, obey those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart, as to Christ,


Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether or not I come and see you, I may hear of your activities, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel,


But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,


Servants, obey your masters in all things according to the flesh, serving not only when they are watching, as the servants of men, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.


Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.


But as He who has called you is holy, so be holy in all your conduct,


Live your lives honorably among the Gentiles, so that though they speak against you as evildoers, they shall see your good works and thereby glorify God in the day of visitation.


Likewise you wives, be submissive to your own husbands, so that if any do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives,


Do not let your adorning be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine clothing.


Seeing then that all these things are to be destroyed, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
