He set the cherubim within the inner sanctuary, and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubim, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall, and their wings touched one another in the middle of the house.


The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place in the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place under the wings of the cherubim.


The poles were so long that the ends of the poles could be seen out in the holy place in front of the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen from outside, and they are there to this day.


The cherubim shall stretch forth their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another. The faces of the cherubim are to face toward the mercy seat.


Above it stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.


and will put on it the covering of porpoise skins, and will spread over it a cloth completely of blue, and will put in its poles.


Above the ark were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Concerning these things we cannot now speak in detail.
