In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv (which is the second month), he began to build the house of the Lord.

The porch in front of the temple was twenty cubits in length, the same as the width of the house, and ten cubits deep in front of the house.

These are the foundation measurements that Solomon used for building the house of God. The cubit length in the former standard measure was sixty cubits and the width twenty cubits.
