Thus they made a covenant at Beer-sheba. Then Abimelech rose with Phicol, the commander of his army, and they returned to the land of the Philistines.


“There is a treaty between me and you and between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Come and break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so he will depart from me.”

God gave Solomon wisdom and great depth of understanding as well as compassion, as vast as the sand on the seashore.
