When King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God who had cried against the altar in Bethel, he reached out his hand from the altar, saying, “Arrest him!” And the hand that he put forth against him dried up so that he could not pull it back in again.


Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What will be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I should go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?”


Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice. For they will say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’ ”


So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh, and they did what the Lord had commanded. And Aaron threw down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.


Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?”


“This will be a sign to you, says the Lord, that I will punish you in this place so that you may know that My words shall surely stand against you for disaster.


Then the Jews said to Him, “What sign do You show us, seeing that You do these things?”
