1 John 5:10 - Modern English Version

10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has this witness in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he does not believe the testimony that God gave about His Son.

“If it is not so, who will prove me a liar and make my speech worth nothing?”


The secret counsel of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will make His covenant known to them.


for the perverse is an abomination to the Lord, but His counsel is with the upright.


Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?


Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Shall You be altogether to me as a deceptive stream and as waters that fail?


God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He spoken, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?


“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.


He who believes in Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.


He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true.


You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe the One He has sent.


Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” He answered, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”


The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God,


Now I say that as long as the heir is a child, he does not differ from a servant though he is lord of all.


And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!”


For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.


Be attentive, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, and you depart from the living God.


And we have a more reliable word of prophecy, which you would do well to follow, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.


If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.


Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the one born of the Father.


Then the dragon was angry with the woman, and he went to wage war with the remnant of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.


“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows except he who receives it.


And I will give him the morning star.
