7 And the people came to Moses and sayed: we haue sinned, for we haue spoken agayust the Lord and againste the, make intercession to the lorde, that he take away the serpentes from vs. And Moses made intercession for the people.

And so Abraham prayd vnto God, & god healed Abimelech and his wyfe and his maydens, so that they bare chyldren.


Nowe therfore delyuer the man his wyfe agayne, for he is a Prophete. And let him pray for the that thou mayst lyue. But and yf thou delyuer her not agayn, be sure that thou shalt dye the deth, wyth al that thou hast.


And the kyng aunswered and sayd vnto the man of God: Oh pray vnto the Lorde thy God, & make intercession for me, that my hand maye be restored me agayne. And the man of God besought the Lord and hys hande came to hym agayne as well as before.


But Iehoahaz besought the Lorde, and the Lorde heard hym. For he had sene the oppressyon of Israel, how the kynge of Siria oppressed them.


and the Lorde turned hym vnto Iob, when he prayed for his frendes. Yea the Lorde gaue Iob twyse as muche as he had a fore.


Therfore take .vij. oxen & .vij. rammes, and go to my seruaunte Iob: offre vp also for your selues a brentofferynge: & let my seruaunte Iob praye for you. Hym wyll I accepte, & not deale with you after youre folishnesse: in that ye haue not spoken the thynge whiche is right, like as my seruaunt Iob hath done.


So he sayde he wuld haue destroyed them had not Moses hys chosen stand before him in that gappe: to turne awaye his wrathfull indignatyon, lest he should destroy them.


When he slewe them, they sought hym, & turned them early vnto God.


Forgyue me yet my sinne only thys once, & pray vnto the Lord your God that he may take away from me thys death onely.


Then Moyses besoughte the Lorde hys God and sayde: O Lorde, why shoulde thy wrath waxe hote vpon thy people whiche thou hast brought out of the Lande of Egipt wt great power and with a mighty hande?


And on the morowe, Moyses sayde vnto the people: Ye haue sinned a great synne. But now I wyll goo vp vnto the Lorde, to wytt whether I can make an attonement for your synne.


And Pharao said: I wyl let you goo, that ye may do sacrifice vnto the lord your God in the wildernes: onely go not farre awaye, & se that ye pray for me.


And the frogges shall come vpon the, and on the people, and vpon al thy seruauntes.


Then Pharao called for Moses & Aaron and sayed, praye ye vnto the Lorde that he maye take away the frogges frome me and from my people, and I wyll lette the people goo, that they maye do Sacrifice vnto the Lorde.

Then spake the Lorde vnto me, & sayde: Though Moses and Samuel stode before me, yet haue I no herte to thys people. Dryue them awaye, that they maye go out of my syght.


Neuerthelesse Zedekiah the Kynge sent Iehucal the sonne of Selemiah and Sophoniah the sonne of Maasiah the pryeste to the Prophet Ieremy, sayinge: O praye thou vnto the lord oure God for vs.

And the people cryed vnto Moses, and he made intercessyon vnto the Lord & the fyre quenched.


saying: I haue synned betrayinge the innocent bloud. And they sayde: what is that to vs? Se thou to that.


Then aunswered Simon, and said: praye ye to the Lord for me, that none of these thinges, which ye haue spoken fal on me.
