& knew of nothinge, tyll the floude came and toke them all awaye. So shal also the comminge of the sonne of man be.


that seruauntes maister wyll come in a daye when he loketh not for him, and in an houre that he is not ware of,


And euen at midnight there was a crye made: beholde, the brydegrome cometh, goo out againste hym.


for ye youre selues knowe perfectly that the daie of the Lorde shall come euen as a thefe in the nyght.


And Iosua ascended from Galgall, both he and al the people of warre wyth hym, and al the men of myghte,


And thou shalt do to Ai and her kynge, as thou dydest vnto Ierico and her kyng. Neuerthelesse the spoyle & catell therof, ye shall take vnto youre selues. But laye a watche vnto the toune on the backsyde therof.


And he commaunded them saiyng: Se that ye lye awayte vnto the toune on the backsyde therof. Go not very farre from the cytye, and se that ye be al readye.


Neuertheles the daye of the Lord wyl come as a thiefe in the nyght in the which daye, the heauens shal peryshe wyth terryble noyse, and the elementes shal melte wyth heate, and the earth wyth the workes that are therin shal burne.


Now therfore vp by nyghte, bothe thou and all the people that is wyth the, and lye in wayte in the feldes.
