& thys stone whyche I haue sette vp an ende, shall be Goddes house: and of all that thou shalte gyue me, wyll I gyue the tenth vnto the.


Prayse the Lord O my soule & forget not all his benefites.


But the Lorde is in hys holy temple, the Lordes seate is in heauen: He considereth it with hys eyes, hys eye lyddes beholde the chyldren of men.


He aunswered and sayed vnto them: I tell you, yf these shoulde holde theyr peace, the stones woulde crye.


And Iosua sayde vnto all the people: beholde, thys stone shalbe a wytnesse vnto vs, for it hath hearde all the wordes of the Lorde whiche he spake wyth vs. It shalbe therfore a wytnesse vnto you, leste ye lye vnto youre God.


And as sone as the sooles of the fete of the priestes that beare the arcke of Iehouah (the Lord of al the world) treade in the water of Iordan, the water of Iordan shall deuyde it selfe: and the waters that commeth from aboue shall stande styll vpon an heape.


And Iosua called vnto the twelue men whiche he had prepared of the chyldren of Israel, of euery trybe a man,


And the chyldren of Israel dyd euen so as Iosua commaunded, and toke vp twelue stones oute of the myddes of Iordan, as the Lorde sayde vnto Iosua accordynge to the nombre of the trybes of the chyldren of Israel, & caryed them awaye wyth them vnto the place where they lodged, and layed them doune there.


And then Samuel toke a stone, & pitched it betwene Mazphah & Sen, & called the name therof the stone of help, saying: thus farre hath the Lorde holp vs.
