& this totehil which the Lord seeth (sayd he) be wytnesse betwene me and the when we are departed one from another


And when the Aungel stretched out his hand vnto Ierusalem to haue destroyed it, the Lord had compassion to do that euyl, and sayde to the Aungel that destroyed the people: it is suffycyent: let thyne hande cease. And the aungell was at the thressinge place of Areunah the Iebusite.


and came to the stronge towne of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Heuites and of the Cananites, and then went out to the South of Iuda, euen to Bersabe.


Then kyng Asa made a proclamacyon thorowout all Iuda, that none shoulde be excused. And they toke the stones of Ramah, & the tymber wherwyth Baasa had buylt, & kynge Asa buylt therwyth Gabaah in Beniamin and Mazphah.


And all the people that were lefte of the Amorites, Hethites, Pheresites, Heuytes and Iebusites, whiche were not of the chyldren of Israel,


Like the dewe of Hermon, which fell vpon the hil of Sion. For there the Lorde promysed hys blesyng, and lyfe for euermoe.


Thou hast made the north and the south, Tabor and Hermon shal reioyse in thy name


Come to me from Lybanus, O my house, come to me from Libanus come soone the next way from the top of Amana, from the top of Sanir and Hermon, from the lyons dennes & from the mountaynes of the leopardes.

The Amaleckes dwell in the south contre, & the Hethytes, Iebusites and the Amorites dwel in the mountaynes, and the Cananites dwell by the sea and a longe by the costet of Iordan.

When the Lorde thy God hathe brought the into the land whither thou goest to possesse it, & hast coste out manye nations before the: the Hethytes, the Gergesites, the Amorites, the Cananites, the Pheresites, the Heuites, and the Iebusites .vij. nacions moo in numbre & mightier then thou:


euen from mounte Halak that goeth vp to Seyr, vnto Baal, Gad, in the valeye of Libanon, vnder mounte Hermon. And al the kinges of the same, he toke & smote them, and slewe them.


And the Lorde delyuered them into the handes of Israel, and they smote them and chased them, vnto great Sydon, and vnto the whote waters, and vnto the valey of Mazphah Eastward? and smote them vntyll they had none remaynynge of them.


and Galaad, and the landes that border vpon the Gesurytes and the Machathites, and al mount Hermon & al Basan vnto Salecah:


And the lande of the Giblytes, and al Libanon towarde the sunne rysynge, from Baal, Gad, vnder mount Hermon, vntyll thou come to Hemath,


But the Iebusites that were the enhabiters of Ierusalem: the chyldren of Iuda could not caste oute. Wherfore the Iebusites dwelle among the children of Iuda vnto this daye.


And Iosua sayd: Herebye ye shall know, that the lyuyng God is among you, and that he wyll wythout fayle cast oute before you, the Cananites, the Hethites, the Heuites, the Pheresites, the Gergesites, the Amorytes, and the Iebusites.


Then all the chyldren of Israel went out: and there gathered al congregacyon together as it had bene but one man, euen from Dan to Berseba, and out of the land of Galaad, vnto the land to Marphah,


And the children of Israel asked, who are they among all the tribes of Israel that came not with the congregacion vnto the Lorde? for they had made a greate othe concerninge them that came not vp to the Lorde to Mazphah saying: that they should surely dye.


Then they sayde, what are they of the trybes of Israel, that came not vp to Mazphah to the Lorde.


he lefte the fyue Lordes of the Philistines, & all the Cananites, the Sidonites, the Heuites that dwelt in mount Lybanon: euen from mount Baal Hermon and Hemath.


And as the chyldren of Israel dwelt among the Cananites hethytes, Amorites, Pheresites, Heuytes, and Iebusytes,


After that Samuel called the people together vnto the Lorde to Mazphah
