And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us?


And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeru-i´ah? so let him curse, because the Lord hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?


Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.


Lord, by thy favor thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.


I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.


I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.


O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?


Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:


I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.


My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.


Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? Whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.


And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.


Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.


For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.


Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.


And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.


Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.


I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.


They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.


Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:


And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.


And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.


As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.


And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
