Ye mountains of Gilbo´a, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.


He is the tower of salvation for his king: and showeth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.


And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jesh´u-a, the ruler of Mizpah, another piece over against the going up to the armory at the turning of the wall.


that our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:


Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.
