Benjamin shall raven as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.


And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the Lord your God?


There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.


Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.


He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.


Righteous art thou, O Lord, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?


O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gib´e-ah: there they stood: the battle in Gib´e-ah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.


When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.


And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at Gib´e-ah.


And the people, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day.


And Benjamin went forth against them out of Gib´e-ah the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the children of Israel again eighteen thousand men; all these drew the sword.
