My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.


They change the night into day: the light is short because of darkness.


My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.


The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.


A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.


There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.


Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.


I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
