Thou gavest also thy good Spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.


Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:


and he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.


He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.


I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.


Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they have been ever of old.


Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.


I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.


Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.


but made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.


And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.


Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore.


Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;


But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.


Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?


Neither said they, Where is the Lord that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?


But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshaz´zar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,


And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.


In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:


According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my Spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.


Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerub´babel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.


And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.


And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.


And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them.


Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,


And Gideon said unto him, O my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Mid´i-anites.
