yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way wherein they should go.


For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.


Nevertheless in those days, saith the Lord, I will not make a full end with you.


And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelati´ah the son of Benai´ah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?


Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.


Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.


Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.


And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.


Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the Lord hath delivered thee today into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the Lord's anointed.
