And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.


And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Ba´ale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the Lord of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubim.


And Hezeki´ah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.


And David went up, and all Israel, to Ba´alah, that is, to Kir´jath–je´arim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the Lord, that dwelleth between the cherubim, whose name is called on it.


Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth.


Before E´phra-im and Benjamin and Manas´seh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.


Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.


The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubim; let the earth be moved.


An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.


In the tabernacle of the congregation without the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.


and thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.


And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.


And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Si´nai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.


And I, behold, I have given with him Aho´li-ab, the son of Ahis´amach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;


O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.


And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.


And the Lord called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,


and the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.


And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.


And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubim: and he spake unto him.


And the children of Israel inquired of the Lord, (for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,


So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubim: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phin´ehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
