Then Tat´nai, governor on this side the river, She´thar–boz´nai, and their companions, according to that which Dari´us the king had sent, so they did speedily.


Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mor´decai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.


And Mor´decai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.


And Mor´decai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.


And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mor´decai fell upon them.


Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honored.


The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.


He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.


Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
