And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the Lord: this is that king Ahaz.


Manas´seh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:


And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,


His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.


And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the Lord.


yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.


Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush; therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.


And thou his son, O Belshaz´zar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;


But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
