And there came in two men, children of Be´li-al, and sat before him: and the men of Be´li-al witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. So king Rehobo´am strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehobo´am was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there.
