And he brought me there, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring rod; and he stood in the gate.


And you shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand wide, and five and twenty thousand long, adjacent to the district of the holy portion: it shall be for the whole house of Israel.


Therefore thus says the LORD; I have returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, says the LORD of hosts, and a measuring line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.


Then said I to the angel that talked with me, where do these take the basket?


But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where do you go?


And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
