Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?


Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:


A false witness shall perish: but the man that hears speaks constantly.


And said unto them; Go you also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.


Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me.


Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.


And they said unto her, You are mad. But she continued to affirm that it was so. Then they said, It is his angel.


But to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.


We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;


Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs.


This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.


I desire therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.


Well reported of for good works; if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.


For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.


Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to refute the opposition.


Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own, zealous of good works.


In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing incorruptness, gravity, sincerity,


Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,


And let our own also learn to maintain good works for urgent needs, that they not be unfruitful.


Who in time past was to you unprofitable, but now profitable to you and to me:


And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:


Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
