And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts who dwells between the cherubim.


And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, who dwells between the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth.


Is it good unto you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile upon the counsel of the wicked?


[To the Chief Musician upon shoshannim, for the Sons of Korah, a maschil, a song of loves.] My heart is overflowing with a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made concerning the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready scribe.


[To the Chief Musician. With flutes. A Psalm of David.] Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.


[A Psalm of Asaph.] The mighty God, even the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.


Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined.


[To the Chief Musician on neginoth, a maschil. A Song of David.] Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not yourself from my supplication.


[To the Chief Musician upon shushaneduth. A michtam of David to teach; when he fought with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned and smote of Edom in the Valley of Salt twelve thousand.] O God, you have cast us off, you have scattered us, you have been displeased; O turn yourself to us again.


[To the Chief Musician upon shoshannim. A Psalm of David.] Save me, O God; for the waters have come in unto my soul.


You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.


But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.


Moreover he refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim:


Restore us, O LORD God of hosts, cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs; O God, to whom vengeance belongs, show yourself.


The LORD reigns; let the people tremble: he sits between the cherubim; let the earth be moved.


He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.


Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.


Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within them?


As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches: they went back and forth among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.


Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’S glory.


And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.


And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.


Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of your servant, and his supplications, and cause your face to shine upon your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.


I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.


And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.


Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,


For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.


And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.


And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God is its light, and the Lamb is its lamp.


So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, who dwells between the cherubim: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
