So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath abated.


They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their heart prepares deceit.


Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.


Yea, you overwhelm the fatherless, and you dig a pit for your friend.


The wicked in his pride does persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.


The proud have dug pits for me, which is not after your law.


Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I thus escape.


They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah.


That you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.


Whosoever digs a pit shall fall in it: and he that rolls a stone, it will return upon him.


His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sins.


You shall conceive chaff, you shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.


None calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth: they trust in empty words, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.


Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before you to speak good for them, and to turn away your wrath from them.


Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
