But take care of me, O GOD the Lord, for your name's sake: because your mercy is good, deliver me.


They surrounded me also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.


Send your hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of foreigners;


Let not them that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.


My soul thirsts for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?


Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterfalls: all your waves and your billows are gone over me.


Let not the floodwater overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.


For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in mercy unto all them that call upon you.


I called upon your name, O LORD, out of the lowest dungeon.


They that regard vain idols forsake their own mercy.


And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?


But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
