The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence.


He wanders abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.


As for the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundant justice: he will not afflict.


I will sing of mercy and justice: unto you, O LORD, will I sing.


Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.


Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me: you shall stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand shall save me.


Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto you.


They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your power;


Be exalted, LORD, in your own strength: so will we sing and praise your power.


For his anger endures but for a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.


I will be glad and rejoice in your mercy: for you have considered my trouble; you have known my soul in adversities;


Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and your faithfulness reaches unto the clouds.


[To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.] Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have delivered me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

My voice shall you hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto you, and will look up.


In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with you.
