There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.


The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.


They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;


Let death seize upon them, and let them go down alive into the grave: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.


But you, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in you.


Destroy, O Lord, and confuse their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.


They run and prepare themselves apart from my fault: awake to help me, and behold.


There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power in the day of death: and there is no release from that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.


Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:


Pour out your fury upon the nations that know you not, and upon the families that call not on your name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.


And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?


You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: why do you look upon them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he?
