Make your face to shine upon your servant; and teach me your statutes.


For you have made him most blessed forever: you have made him exceedingly glad with your presence.


Surely every man walks in a vain show: surely they are in turmoil in vain: he heaps up riches, and knows not who shall gather them.


Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disturbed within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.


For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, because you had favor unto them.


[To the Chief Musician on neginoth. A Song or Psalm.] God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and feasted sumptuously every day:


They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall partake of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.


Come now, you that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
