And when the mourning was past, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.


For my sighing comes before I eat, and my groanings are poured out like the waters.


My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.


My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.


[To the Chief Musician upon aijeleth shahar. A Psalm of David.] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?


There is no soundness in my flesh because of your anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.


I am feeble and utterly broken: I have groaned by reason of the turmoil of my heart.


Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.


Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are troubled.

Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwells among the nations, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her in her distress.


My flesh and my skin has he made old: he has broken my bones.


Also when I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.


And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they wailed upon their beds: they assemble themselves for grain and wine, and they rebel against me.


And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
