And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.


How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, who is a worm?


Yea, let none that wait on you be ashamed: let them be ashamed who transgress without cause.


[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] In you, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in your righteousness.


I was a reproach among all my enemies, but especially among my neighbors, and a horror to my acquaintance: they that did see me outside fled from me.


My enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?


You have put away my acquaintance far from me; you have made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.


Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, says the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.


Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he has chosen you.


He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.


He gives his cheek to him that strikes him: he is filled full with reproach.


The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.


But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons.


And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned?


The people answered and said, You have a demon: who goes about to kill you?


Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?


Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.


And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are your ways, you King of saints.
