Lord, how long will you look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my precious life from the lions.


And the wild oxen shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.


God brought them out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of a wild ox.


When I was daily with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.


Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.


Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.


For of a truth against your holy child Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,


His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.


However the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.


Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
