And he went, and took, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savory food, such as his father loved.


And the man of God said unto the king, If you will give me half your house, I will not go in with you, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:


And the LORD said unto him, By what means? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You shall persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.


That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.


Incline my heart unto your testimonies, and not to covetousness.


Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.


O LORD, why have you made us to err from your ways, and hardened our heart from your fear? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of your inheritance.


And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.


And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.


Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God.


Be not deceived: evil companions corrupt good morals.


Therefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,


But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as it is this day.


Yet the LORD has not given you a heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.


Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man:
