And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.


And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.


Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the plants of the field;


When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield unto you its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shall you be in the earth.


Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; even as the green plants have I given you all things.


And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all brooks: perhaps we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we lose not all the animals.


As for the earth, out of it comes bread: but under it is turned up as it were fire.


To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender grass to spring forth?


Who gives food to all flesh: for his mercy endures forever.


The hay appears, and the tender grass shows itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.


Be not afraid, you beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring up, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.


So then neither is he that plants anything, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase.


And I will send grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full.
