Who can number the clouds by wisdom? or who can pour out the water skins of heaven,


Who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters: who makes the clouds his chariot: who walks upon the wings of the wind:


Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.


When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his storehouses.


Are there any among the idols of the nations that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? are not you he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon you: for you have made all these things.


It is he that builds his chambers in the heavens, and has founded his vault upon the earth; he that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.


That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.


Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.


But the land, where you go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinks water from the rain of heaven:
