And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose.


So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath abated.


He shall deliver you in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch you.


Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.


Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.


Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.


God shall likewise destroy you forever, he shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.


His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own crown.


And render unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached you, O Lord.


A wicked messenger falls into trouble: but a faithful ambassador is health.


Evil pursues sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repaid.


The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous has hope in his death.


For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knows the ruin of them both?


Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.


I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.


Moreover you shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD; Shall they fall, and not rise? shall he turn away, and not return?


Thus says the Lord GOD; An evil, a special evil, behold, has come.


The virgin of Israel has fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.


They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Your god, O Dan, lives; and, The way of Beersheba lives; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.


But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
