And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.


The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.


Whose ways are crooked, and who are perverse in their paths:


It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a contentious woman in a whole house.


There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet are not washed from their filthiness.


Lo, this only have I found, that God has made man upright; but they have sought out many devices.


This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.


The way of the just is uprightness: you, most upright, do smooth the path of the just.


The way of peace they know not; and there is no justice in their paths: they have made themselves crooked paths: whosoever goes in them shall not know peace.


Many shall be purified, and made white, and refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.


Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit.


Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.


And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.


For you are yet carnal: for while there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal, and walk as men?


Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.


Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own, zealous of good works.


For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.


Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;


If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone that does righteousness is born of him.


And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
