The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures forever.


O that my ways were directed to keep your statutes!


[Yod] Your hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.


Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto you.


The wicked works a deceitful work: but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward.


The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.


Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walks uprightly.


Then shall you understand righteousness, and justice, and equity; yea, every good path.


I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice:


Then I saw that wisdom excels folly, as far as light excels darkness.


For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool forever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how does the wise man die? as the fool.


Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?


For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.


That you put off concerning the former way of life the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;


Therefore be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.


But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.


Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good life his works with meekness of wisdom.
