And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet: because they slew Athaliah with the sword at the king’s house.


And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entrance, and the leaders and the trumpeters by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of music, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.


And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after they had slain Athaliah with the sword.


Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.


And Miriam answered them, Sing unto the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and its rider has he thrown into the sea.


By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.


When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.


When the wicked arise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.


When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn.


Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is in them, shall sing for Babylon: for the plunderers shall come unto her from the north, says the LORD.


So let all your enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when it goes forth in its might. And the land had rest forty years.
