Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together:


[A song of ascents. Of David.] Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!


For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.


And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:


And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:


And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their food with gladness and sincerity of heart,


And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.


And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that any of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.


For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.


By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:


For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;


But what says it? The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;


That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.


And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.


Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.


Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.


Finally, brethren, farewell. Be restored, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.


In whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.


While by the proof of this ministry they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;


Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.


In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,


Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,


I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called,


For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;


Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.


But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.


(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:


For our citizenship is in heaven; from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:


Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.


That you might walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;


Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have to all the saints,


But now when Timothy came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:


Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.


According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.


Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made it shipwreck:


I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:


Not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.


Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;


And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by them that make peace.


Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conduct and godliness,


Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.


Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
