And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.


The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?


Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple,


For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does: and he will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.


For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:


And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.
