Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, says the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall only deliver their own souls by their righteousness.


Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.


And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.


And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.


Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock:


Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
