And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.


But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.


And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them.


And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said,


And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people were astonished at his doctrine.


And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is risen up among us; and, God has visited his people.


Now when the Pharisee who had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner.


Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.


The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.


You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:
