And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.


Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the LORD.


It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman.


It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a contentious woman in a whole house.


But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, only they to whom it is given.


And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoever marries her who is put away does commit adultery.


I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.


Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them who believe and know the truth.
