And David said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?


And Satan stood up against Israel, and incited David to number Israel.


And he shall be as a sanctuary; but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, for a trap and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.


Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from you, Lord: this shall not be unto you.


Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!


Then said Jesus unto him, Begone, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.


But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get you behind me, Satan: for you consider not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.


And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get you behind me, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.


Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?


Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.


It is good neither to eat meat, nor to drink wine, nor anything by which your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.


Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
