And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:


Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.


And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove from here to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.


But this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.


And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?


And they departed from there, and passed through Galilee; and he desired not that any man should know it.


Then he goes, and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.


And when they had ordained elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.


But I roughly treat my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.


In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.


For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me.


In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;


Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thus with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;


And the prayer of faith shall deliver the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
