If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the jungle of the Jordan?


So the captain came to him, and said unto him, What mean you, O sleeper? arise, call upon your God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.


While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.


And he came unto the disciples, and found them asleep, and said unto Peter, What, could you not watch with me one hour?


And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.


Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.


For consider him that endured such hostility of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.
