And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with various diseases and torments, and those who were possessed with demons, and those that were epileptic, and those that were paralytic; and he healed them.


And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.


Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons.


And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, who also bewailed and lamented him.


And all his acquaintances, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.


And the women also, who came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher, and how his body was laid.


And Jesus asked him, saying, What is your name? And he said, Legion: because many demons were entered into him.


Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.


These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
