I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.


And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred.


He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.


And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.


And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,


He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.


But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.


As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.


If a man has two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:


Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed your word, and kept your covenant.


Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but rubbish, that I may win Christ,


And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.
