For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes: nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto you.


And I said, My strength and my hope has perished from the LORD:


Also when I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.


Give to him that asks you, and from him that would borrow of you turn not away.


For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.


If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he asks for a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?


And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.


And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;


You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it upon your lusts.


Behold, we count them happy who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate, and of tender mercy.
